Growth

Like everything else that comes into being on this planet, whether a plant, an animal or bacteria, we’re all made to grow. To grow as a collective but most importantly grow as individuals.

As humans, our individual growth is at times stunted by ailments of the body and mind. Stresses we’ve either suffered from due to external sources, or stresses we’ve manifested inside.

Although these stresses at the time, in the moment, can seem insurmountable and over bearing, when we later reflect we can often see the silver lining or the lesson we’ve learnt from it. That is true growth. That is where we find the lessons that ultimately shape our being, shape our direction and shape our lives.

For example, without first being imprisoned Malcom X wouldn’t have become a learned, articulate icon who could empower a race to fight for their basic human rights. Without having grown up extremely poor with an abusive mother, Tony Robbins wouldn’t have learnt how to grow emotionally and later teach that growth to fully booked arenas. Without having been told she didn’t have the face for tv, Oprah never would’ve ventured out on her own, creating an empire that impacted the lives of billions and ultimately made billions.

So, with this in mind, knowing that the worst moments in our lives can often be the best teachers, ask yourself, “what have I endured?” then, “what have I learnt from it?”

Time to let go and grow 👊👊👊
