Important parts of the GTA 6 game were stolen and then made public by a hacker

The leak that reached the Internet contains more than 90 video clips from the game

Many GTA 6 gameplay videos have surfaced online, demonstrating the capabilities of the graphics engine and other features of the early-stage game. The leak confirms, among other things, the rumors that one of the protagonists of the game is a woman and the action will take place in Vice City.

The source of the leaks claims that this breach was the work of a single hacker who used social engineering to gain access to critical information, including the source code of the game GTA 6 and GTA 5.

The company Take Two, the victim of the attack, has already filed copyright complaints (DMCA) against users who distribute stolen content.

The hacker has already announced on the forums that he has the complete source code for the two games and that he is willing to sell the one for GTA5 for at least 5 figures. As for GTA 6, the hacker mentions that although he has it, the code is not yet for sale. Contacted by another user posing as an employee of the damaged company, the hacker said that if he reaches a good financial settlement with the victim, no further information will be disclosed.

To make matters even more complicated, a user was tricked into transferring $100,000 worth of Bitcoin to gain access to a fake GTA 5 source code. The hacker confirmed that the scammer was someone else, without a connection with him. Obviously, if caught, the digital criminals will have a lot to explain to the investigative bodies.
