THOUGHTS.

The night was very still. The breeze had not picked up and the trees were not swaying. It was nearly around 2 a.m. and everyone was sleeping. Looking out of my window, I started to think. As various thoughts ran across my head,I started to believe in each one of them. I believed every thought I had about myself,about the things I surround myself with,about my fears, about my future,about my abilities, EVERYTHING.

An hour passed. There was still no sign of sleep and my thoughts still had not escaped my mind. They had created their own space in my head. Just like a person, they were talking to me. I tried to make them go away, but they kept me awake. Scratching my head, I laid down, hoping to go to sleep. As time passed by, I realised how my thoughts had taken control of me. They had grown old with me and had shaped themselves inside me. Just like me, they had formed their own uniqueness,their own individuality. They come and go whenever they wish to. That was the reason I couldn’t stop to think.

It is intriguing how your thoughts can control you. They can make you do whatever they want. They can turn you into the nicest person or can turn you into an evil. Everything basically depends on our thoughts. Positive thoughts can make your life so much more better and beautiful but negative thoughts can turn it into hell. Maybe that’s why they say “Think positive". And as I realised how much influence our thoughts have on our lives, I nodded off to sleep.
