Who is Retarded? He or We?

A very strange incident happened few days back. I witnessed a man who seems to be gifted with different powers by God, brutally attacked by somebody with iron rod. Probably the man is isolated by the family and left on roads to live, in anyway possible or die, without disturbing the family’s daily routine. There must be nobody to stand for him, to protect him for that brutal beating.

The whirlpool of thoughts revolved around me- as to Who is actually retarded here— That Abandoned Man, or his family members who don’t dare to get him treated, or the man who is brutally beating him or We, as a citizen who are scared to go near and rescue him. The question is tough to answer as we all have one or the other excuse to save our face from the situation. We are bound to go in the flow of natural process going on.

We all cannot do anything than blaming others for every situation. Probably if all of us will do our bit to help in every possible way without the lame excuses, we can make this earth , a better place to live. Let us all promise ourselves to be ready to help the society.
